Keeping your Subaru reliable for the long run starts with taking factory maintenance seriously, especially the 60,000-mile mark. At East Valley Auto Rebuild in Kent, WA, our Subaru 60K service is designed to protect your investment, prevent expensive breakdowns, and keep your vehicle ready for everything the Pacific Northwest throws at it.

Founded in 2003 and led by Mark Bryant, the regionally known Independent Subaru Guru, we're a family-owned Subaru specialist shop with over 30 years in the automotive industry and a 7,000-square-foot facility dedicated to high-quality service, repairs, and engine work. Our philosophy, "A Journey of Gratitude and Growth", guides how we treat every Subaru and every customer who walks through our doors.

Why Subaru 60K Service Matters
in Kent, WA

By 60,000 miles, your Subaru has seen plenty of commuting, wet winters, mountain trips, and weekend drives between Kent, Auburn, Renton, Federal Way, Seattle, and Tacoma. This is the point where small issues can quietly grow into big problems if they're ignored.

A properly performed Subaru 60K service helps:

  • Protect your engine, transmission, and drivetrain from premature wear

  • Catch leaks and worn components before they fail

  • Maintain fuel efficiency and smooth performance

  • Keep you aligned with Subaru's recommended maintenance schedule

  • Extend the life of your vehicle well past 100,000 miles, and often toward the 300,000+ mile mark we're known for helping customers reach

At East Valley Auto Rebuild, we don't treat the Subaru 60000 mile service as a "basic package." We tailor it to your specific model, driving style, and goals, whether you drive an Outback family hauler, a WRX commuter, or a BRZ weekend car.

What's Included in a Subaru 60000 Mile Service

Every Subaru is a little different, but a typical Subaru 60K mile maintenance visit at our Kent shop includes a thorough, methodical inspection and service plan. Depending on model and year, your service may include:

Fluids & Filters
  • Engine oil and filter service (with the correct spec oil for your Subaru)

  • Transmission fluid inspection and replacement as needed (manual or automatic/CVT)

  • Differential fluid checks and service where applicable

  • Brake fluid inspection and replacement if due

  • Coolant system inspection and coolant replacement per Subaru guidelines

  • Engine air filter and cabin air filter replacement as needed
Safety & Wear Items
  • Full brake system inspection: pads, rotors, lines, and calipers

  • Tire wear check, rotation, and air pressure adjustment

  • Steering and suspension inspection for play, noise, or leaks

  • Exhaust system inspection for rust, leaks, or loose components

  • Belts and hoses inspection for cracks, glazing, or soft spots
Subaru-Specific Checks
  • Visual inspection for early signs of oil or coolant leaks

  • Inspection of common Subaru leak and gasket areas

  • Drivetrain and AWD system checks to ensure everything is functioning as designed

  • Thorough scan for diagnostic trouble codes and warning lights

You won't just get a checklist thrown at you.
We walk you through what we found, what's urgent, and what can reasonably wait,
in plain English, not technical jargon.

What Makes Our Subaru 60K Service Different

Plenty of shops can perform a basic 60K service. Very few combine our level of Subaru specialization, in-house capabilities, and customer-first approach.

At East Valley Auto Rebuild, you get:

A sensible dealership alternative

- Positioned well below most dealership rates while maintaining first-class workmanship.

In-house expertise

- We're the only automotive machine shop in Washington that offers both in-house machining and full Subaru engine services under one roof. Even though your 60K visit is maintenance-focused, you've got a serious engine and performance resource on your side if you ever need it.

Genuine Subaru OEM parts

- We prioritize factory-quality components designed to last, saving you money over time.

Written 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty

- We stand behind our work and want you to bring the car back if something doesn't feel right.

Technicians paid hourly,
not flat-rate

- That means no rushing through your 60K service just to hit a time target. Our team is rewarded for doing the job right, not simply fast.

Above all, we live by the mindset: "Always working towards our clients' best interests" and "Our clients are our biggest asset."

Transparent, Educational Subaru 60K Mile Maintenance Experience

If you've ever felt talked down to or confused at a dealership, you'll notice the difference here immediately.

At East Valley Auto Rebuild:

  • "The Curtain is Removed!!" - You can talk directly to the person working on your Subaru.

  • We'll take you into the service area (when safe) to show you worn or damaged parts on your vehicle.

  • We provide photos and/or videos to illustrate what we're seeing and why we're recommending a repair or maintenance item.

  • Mark often personally inspects vehicles and is available to discuss findings, options, and priorities.

  • We clearly explain which items are urgent, which are soon, and which are optional or long-term so you can make informed decisions that fit your budget.

No surprise charges, no pressure. Just honest, expert guidance from long-time Subaru enthusiasts who genuinely love this work.

Subaru Maintenance That Keeps
You Driving Past 300,000 Miles

A properly done 60K service is a major milestone on the path to Subaru longevity. We're known throughout the Pacific Northwest for keeping high-mileage Subarus, often well past 300,000 miles, running strong.

Many of our customers have trusted us for 14-20+ years, with parents bringing in their kids' Subarus and families planning their next vehicle purchase around the fact that "East Valley will be maintaining it."

The quality of work is top notch. Took my 2011 STI there to get the head gaskets done and could not be more pleased with the work they did and how they treated me through the process. Sent photos and videos of the entire process while taking apart the motor. Great people who really do want the best for the customer and their car. Would absolutely take my Subaru there again if needed.

I really liked how he took the extra time to discuss all my available options, from keeping it stock to going with more quality parts. Mark covered it all with his extensive knowledge while he tooks us out to lunch. He really made sure that what I wanted out of and from the car is what I got.

Some of Our Professional Subaru Services

Below are some of our most popular Subaru Services and Repairs and descriptions of each.

Transmission Repair
Diagnosing and fixing issues within a vehicle's transmission system, which is responsible for shifting gears and transferring power from the engine to the wheels. Repairs can range from replacing worn components like gears or seals to a full rebuild or replacement, depending on the severity of the problem.
Cylinder Head Repair
Involves inspecting and fixing issues with the cylinder head, such as cracks, warping, or valve damage. Repairs may include resurfacing, replacing valves or seals, and ensuring a proper seal with the engine block to maintain engine performance and prevent leaks.
Nose Job
Replacement of critical timing components including idlers, guides, water pump, belts or chains that wear as your engine ages. Breath fresh life into your vehicle knowing that these components are new top of the line parts designed for your vehicle.
Brake Repair
Involves inspecting, servicing, or replacing components of a vehicle's braking system — such as brake pads, rotors, calipers, or brake fluid — to ensure safe and effective stopping power. Regular brake maintenance is essential for vehicle safety and performance.
Reseal
Solve your engine leaks when you don't need a complete rebuild. We do a complete reseal with all new gaskets and seals in addition to new timing components. This is an ideal repair for engines that run well but have lots of leaks.
30/60/90/120K Maintenance
Refers to routine maintenance performed at 30,000-mile intervals to keep a vehicle running smoothly and reliably. These services typically include oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, tire rotations, brake inspections, and timing belt or spark plug replacements as needed, based on the vehicle’s manufacturer recommendations.
Diagnosis
Involves using specialized tools and expertise to identify issues in a vehicle’s systems—such as the engine, transmission, brakes, or electronics. Technicians read error codes, perform tests, and inspect components to determine the cause of warning lights, strange noises, or performance problems.
Oil Service
Involves draining old engine oil, replacing it with fresh oil, and installing a new oil filter. This routine maintenance helps keep the engine properly lubricated, reduces wear, and ensures optimal performance and longevity.
Tune Up
Maintenance service that helps keep your engine running efficiently. It typically includes replacing spark plugs, inspecting or replacing filters, checking ignition components, and ensuring the fuel and air systems are functioning properly. A tune-up can improve performance, fuel efficiency, and prevent future issues.
Clutch Service
Involves inspecting, adjusting, repairing, or replacing the clutch system components to ensure smooth gear shifting and proper power transfer from the engine to the transmission. This can include replacing the clutch disc, pressure plate, or hydraulic parts to restore optimal performance.
Tire Alignment/Rotation
Maintenance services that help extend tire life and improve vehicle handling. Alignment adjusts the angles of the tires to ensure they meet the road correctly, preventing uneven wear. Rotation involves moving tires to different positions on the vehicle to promote even tread wear across all tires.
Battery Replacement
Involves removing the old, worn-out car battery and installing a new one to ensure reliable engine starting and proper electrical system function. It’s essential for maintaining vehicle performance, especially in extreme weather conditions.
Auto Detailing
A thorough cleaning and restoration service for a vehicle’s interior and exterior. It goes beyond a regular wash to remove dirt, grime, and stains, polish surfaces, and protect paint, upholstery, and trim — helping the car look like new and maintain its value.
Electrical
Involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the vehicle’s electrical systems, including the battery, wiring, lights, alternator, starter, and electronic control units. Proper electrical function is essential for everything from starting the engine to powering accessories and safety features.
Differential Service
Involves inspecting, cleaning, and replacing the fluid in a vehicle’s differential—the component that allows wheels to rotate at different speeds while turning. Regular service helps prevent wear, reduce noise, and ensure smooth power delivery to the wheels.
Radiator Flush
Maintenance service that involves draining and cleaning the cooling system to remove old coolant, rust, and debris. It helps improve the radiator’s efficiency, prevents overheating, and extends the life of the engine’s cooling system.
Power Steering Flush/Rebuild
Involves draining and replacing the old power steering fluid to remove contaminants, then inspecting and repairing or rebuilding components like the pump, rack, or hoses. This restores smooth steering performance and prevents leaks or failures.
